A Time to Gather

Oaks Institute has developed the course A Time to Gather, with prophetic intent for the discipling of teachers and leaders who work with young people.

This course seeks to offer genuine, true solutions to the human problems facing our age and our culture. The course offers robust, intellectual interpretations of the world through the Christian scriptures and the revelation of Jesus: Messiah, Christ, Saviour, King. This is not a new patriarchy of power – it is, rather, a re-introduction to the beauty, goodness, and truth of Divine Love.

The four units of the program offer foundational teaching in the four essential building-blocks of hope for our culture: 

  1. Who is God? This Unit
  2. What does it mean to be a Human, being?
  3. Who is Jesus, and what is the Gospel?
  4. Living responsively as citizens in God’s Kingdom.

  1. Unit One - Who is God?

  2. 1.1 How do we know God exists?

  3. 1.2 Can Human Beings know God?

  4. 1.3 How can we know “our” God is the true God?

  5. 1.4 Is the God of the Old Testament the same as the God of the New Testament?

  6. 1.5 How can we believe in a good God when there is so much pain and suffering in the world?

Graham Leo served as a Principal for 25 years in independent schools. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Education, and a Doctor of Ministry. He has taught in four different universities or tertiary colleges in Education, Literature, and Theology. Graham has authored scores of articles and papers, as well as a fiction novel, a biographical novel, an anthology of his own poetry, a textbook on creative writing, and five books in the areas of theology and school management. He has addressed education conferences in the USA, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, and the UK, and in most States of Australia.
