A Time to Gather

Oaks Institute has developed the course A Time to Gather, with prophetic intent for the discipling of teachers and leaders who work with young people.

This course seeks to offer genuine, true solutions to the human problems facing our age and our culture. The course offers robust, intellectual interpretations of the world through the Christian scriptures and the revelation of Jesus: Messiah, Christ, Saviour, King. This is not a new patriarchy of power – it is, rather, a re-introduction to the beauty, goodness, and truth of Divine Love.

The four units of the program offer foundational teaching in the four essential building-blocks of hope for our culture:

  1. Who is God? This Unit
  2. What does it mean to be a Human, being?
  3. Who is Jesus, and what is the Gospel?
  4. Living responsively as citizens in God’s Kingdom.

Engage young people's minds and hearts

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect… 1 Peter 3:15,16.

What do I need to teach and lead well?

The task of the 'A Time to Gather' program is to impart critical knowledge to teachers and leaders so that they absorb it into their professional DNA.

  • to be deeply convinced of the capital-T-Truth of God

  • to engage young people’s minds and hearts

  • to answer students’ questions convincingly

  • to be morally and spiritually convinced of the authority to speak into young people’s minds with conviction
